Re: Have you ever been ripped off online? Stories here!
I've been ripped off , on the "bay" , but nothing of great worth. I've had people not sent or item lost with no recourse. All were money orders. If someone could post the long gone coin seller--- rafaelcoins --- , you will see one of the worst ripoffs that I've ever see. I bought a very high grade Buffalo Nickel ( that I… -

Re: After I saw this on teletrade, I was done bidding
Not the coins fault if was used for nefarious purposes by evil men. Then you have sellers like Great Southern and centsles and others like https://www.vtcoins.com/ who… -

You heard me right - a coin show promoter, though not on the level of Kevin Foley (of Chicago Paper Money Expo and Mid America Coin Show fame). But my first show will not be until mid-April. Now you're wondering what… -

Heritage Auction today: 1854-O Liberty Head $20 Gold AU55 NGC sold for $348,000 w/bp

That number is a lot lower than the PCGS Price Guide for what appears to be a nice example for a 55. If I was the seller I wouldn't be happy.....what say you folks? 1854-O $20 AU55 NGC. Variety 1. The 1854-O Liberty double eagle claims a meager mintage of 3,250 pieces, the second-lowest production total of the series. The… -
Re: Historically important coins?
Agreed. I find the history of our country and coinage fascinating. There’s at least two sides to history. For all the great things that happened, there were many not so great things as well. For example: Confederate coins are associated with slavery, rightly or wrongly. California Territorial Gold is associated with the…
