Re: The What Did You Get For Christmas Thread
iPad Air from my wife. Killer deal. Somehow at staples $214 after taxes. It was $300 then somehow on one day she had a $100 off coupon. The guy at staples said that's the cheapest he's seen an iPad Air go out the door. It costs them $280 just to get them. I love it. Yankees slippers Binoculars Creeper for my BMW to work on… -
Re: Looking for a dealer to sell Canadian coins to at the ANA in Anaheim
Here in Canada, a dealer will pay 35% to 50% of the Canadian coin trends list price. A collector will pay you between 40% to 70%. Bear in mind, this is Canadian dollars, which at the present time, $1 USD = $1.31 CDN. As an example, I have a 1939 $1, ICCS graded ms65, lists for $600 CDN and I would gladly sell it for 60%… -
Re: Half point bumps = lower value?
It looks like one example where BIN was used on a high-priced 7 and a low-priced 7.5. If you check the broader history, the 7.5 has sold higher (several between $370-$400) than the 7 (most between $200-$280). Don't just use one example, where anything could happen - the larger sample is needed to show a pattern. And I… -
Re: In Detroit, you stopped what you were doing when Gates Brown came to bat.
Premier lefthanded hitters of Bretts generation and percentage of at bats against lefty pitchers. Gwynn- 35% Mattingly- 35% Brett- 34% Carew- 31% Boggs- 30% Wonder where the dodging is the genius skin2 spoke so non- eloquently about? Might be worth mentioning of the five hitters, Brett had the lowest average against… -
Re: 1986 fleer basketball sealed wax box
<< <i>I think a sealed case will be worth 300k to 500k in the next 5 years unless there is a huge find then no it will stay at around 125k to 150k >> That's a really optimistic price on the high end but I could see it happening on the lower end for the unopened premium BUT......the premium would be limited as individual… -
Re: Red Sox and Sale after 12 games
Having watched Carl Crawford here in Tampa, I think the pressure of the high paying contract and the Boston media got to him. I think that he pressed too hard. When I moved from northern New Jersey to the Boston are in 1980, I could not believe how much tougher the radio talk show hosts were on the local athletes than they… -

I usually deal in 1950's cards and am looking for advice from you 70's collectors on the best way to sell my partial 1977 set with duplicates. Re: Lets see your wild boar....
Might as well add this one (on my Web site, but didn't think of it before, somehow). CENTRAL ITALY, Sextans, 280-260 B.C., 39.76 grams. On the obverse is an Owl standing, facing left, with a Boar's head facing left, dividing two pellets. A very rare coin, with only six specimens known to Thurlow and Vecchi. References: RCV…
