11 Years Later: From Cupcakes at Canseco’s House to the Steroid Collection Series Two Reveal

Talk about a full-circle moment! Eleven years ago tomorrow, I was embarking upon easily the craziest moment of my baseball card journey. I was pulling up to Jose Canseco's house with my family. We ended up spending the afternoon with him - we played cards (with cards I made him,) ate cupcakes they made us, played with his… -

I bought a ticket lot without looking through any of it for 250 at an estate sale. Just got these back from grading. I'll give ya the appetizers before I bring out the main course. I know grades aren't AS important in tickets due to scarcity, but OMG POP 1 - NONE HIGHER POP 2 - NONE HIGHER POP 1 - NONE HIGHER OH MY LORD.… -
A Hunt Concluded - the 1855-D G$1

With an original mintage of only 1,811 & a population estimated at less than 100 today, this was a long journey & a search for the ages. Indeed, the PCGS total pop numbers 68; invariably there’s some duplication within that number. Following are some pics of the “find”: There are many highlights to this piece. On the obv,… -

Any idea if the items are worth anything. -
UPDATED Progress report: Low budget CAC type set 1/2¢ through $1

Updates to include 10¢ -$1 on 8-4-25 I changed my collecting focus a few years ago from being nickel obsessed and added some diversity. My focus has since been CAC approved coins for an all CAC type set, varieties (still), random 19th century, and nickels 1866-1936. With a focus largely on CAC my grading ability has… -
1944 d/s 1 cent Lincoln, Daisy D

Do you think this is a true 1944 D/S? Inside the MM it looks close to what is on The Lincoln Cent Resource, 1944 D/S OMM # 1 and #2. Lincoln's head does appear to have a crack across it, it appears raised but I haven't seen a pic of that marker. OMM 1, "Part of the S can also be seen in the upper curve of the D.", Do you…
