Hayden's Auction Last Night... How did you all do?

I didn't see anything I needed or wanted in Steve's sale this time which was a first. I even looked about 5 or 6 times just to find something, but came up empty handed. Based on the completed sales many items set new price records. Also based on the lack of any major list of unsold items the sale as a whole did extremely well. Did anyone score something they desperately wanted?

The way the Carl Hass was re-cut on the dies which almost looks double struck is neat.
rays, I don't recall the Good For A Scent you posted in the sale although there was a high grade example in it which looks different then your pics?

The latter two are not from the current sale.
The rabbit I got from a Steve Hayden sale 7/20/14 (lot 263) and the Good for a Scent token (NGC MS66RB) came via Coinraritiesonline.
of the ones I bookmarked.....WOW, such heavy prices for some of them

I can't believe how much the Jeff Davis and Tom Paine "hanging man" pieces are selling for these days. I bought mine, although not as nice as those pieces, for around $100 years ago.
Well they are a desirable theme, I paid crazy money for the 3 I own but I sure do enjoy them. The one in Hayden's auction has some funny toning so I backed off in putting a strong bid in.

I had been looking at an example of this piece for a while. When I saw that it was the piece that Steve Tannenbaum had set aside for himself, I went for it. The piece is made of silver plated white metal.

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
Thanks

I love these auctions, and Ive been able to procure some really rare items that come up once or twice every hundred years.
Unfortunately, I think I spent the coin money for 2016 already.

Yes, they are great for that. Though it is hard when you look for an item that only comes up once or twice every hundred years and you miss it!
