crazyhounddogcrazyhounddog Posts: 14,230 ✭✭✭✭✭
I picked this one up at an ANA show a while back and have never showed it. What do ya think of this one? I have a few more of the same date and are all nice, in fact I just bought another one over the weekend that looks to be a monster. I'll post it when it arrives...Thanks for looking and comments are always welcome.....Joe

Very nice. I love the colors and the way they follow the curvature of Black Diamond.

Hi Ted, yes it's quite lustrous but it's the over all quality of this one that caught my eye. This is a very commen date but for some reason here lately they are becoming a little harder to find. I think it has to do with the earlier date in the teens that attracts most people these days. At any rate I like the look and the toning on the reverse is quite something in hand. Thanks to all chiming in....joe

Fabulous assessment, Teddy! Hounddog, it's indeed a fabulous piece, one of the nicer ones you've shown lately. The reverse especially is wonderful. It has what I rather clumsily call "balance, a nice uniformity of toning and evenness in the strike that makes for a great overall impression. The eyes just glide around and across it with little interruption. It's very pleasing. Well done.

Great example, Joe. That was one of the last dates I found when I finished my set(well of course, i'm never really done!). Got mine from Drei3ee on the BST and it's a nice clean, untoned example, but yours has pizzazz. I think 65 is a good guess but given the eye appeal, 66 would not be a stretch. Way to go and by the way, great image.

Thank you all for the comments, it is appreciated. I also like the looks of this pretty little Buff. I keep buying dups and I need to stop doing that as I never sell them, they just keep pilling up. I think it a sicknessimage and it never stops. Thanks again....Joe
