How has eBay affected your business?
I am just curious as to how ebay has affected your business as far as numismatics is concerned. Do you believe it to be beneficial to your business and add to sales, or has it put a dent in overhead? I run an ebay department for a busy pawnshop was thinking about it. How about the days prior to internet? Also, have show attendance increased or dwindled since the internet and ebay? Thank You.

<< <i>It must be a good way to get rid of cheap moderns slabs because I buy quite a few of them off ebay for my type set collection. I don't really see many cheap modern slabs at shows, but they are all over the bay. Probably too much of a pain to truck them to a show. >>
I don't know if you consider a $5 gold 1995-W unc Torch Runner a cheap modern in OGP,but I just emailed a big TY to the seller (item number 140696061753) after PCGS just emailed me the grade. It graded MS70! If the seller posts here,I would like to thank him again in public and look forward to many future buys on my part.

it has helped me liquidate stuff that comes in over the counter that i would not be able to sell locally or even to another dealer. Very broad market with a lot of viewers. Once in a while something will go cheaper than i had hoped , but for everyone of those, I have several that sell well over expectations. The fee's are a bit tougher now, but as I mentioned, for certain items there is no better place to reach the number of potential buyers that ebay does.
The only real negative I have now, is Ebays policies that really make it difficult for sellers , there is entirely too much buyer over protection. So much, that it makes it potentially dangerous/unsafe to sell anything substantial due to scammers, (? buyers)
