Well, the new Complete Dime set...is "NOT" Complete!!!!!

The new Complete Dime Complete Variety Set that I have been waiting for 2 years for IS NOT COMPLETE!!!!!!!!!!!
You would think that a Complete Complete set would be all of the series Complete variety sets all rolled together.
WRONG!!!!
The first series, the Bust, is not the Complete set that has all the JR numbers BUT is just the major variety set.
I have tried talking to BJ, which is usually a pleasure and positive, but in this case I can not seem to get thru to her what "COMPLETE" really is!!
Hope someone from PCGS sees this. I could eat a box of rocks!!!!!!!!
I WANTED COMPLETE.........not ..........almost complete!!!!!
What is so hard to understand about complete?????????
Am I right or wrong.

if this is in reference to the post made about that like 644 or so dime variety set,
i agree. after reading that post i thought it would be all dime varieties in the entire pcgs grading catalog.
after briefly viewing the list i was under the impression it would be totally comprehensive
quite a shock to read this post

I'm talking about varieties that are "IN" the Bust Dime Complete variety set and are annointed by PCGS
BUT
Are not in the Complete Complete Dime Set!
All of the different dime sets should be rolled into one in order to create the COMPLETE DIME SET. Why someone wants to try and mess with the definition of complete is beyond me. It does not mean 71%, 74%, 77%, 83% or anything else arbitrary like that. It means 100%!
Of all the possible things that need to be argued or can be argued, I am surprised that the definition of the word COMPLETE needs to be debated here.

Have you looked at any other series to see how those complete sets are handled, it may be that the set you're looking for would be an exception to the way such sets are typically constructed.

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

Ah, thanks. My guess is that they build the "complete" sets from the major set categories, not the specialty categories. I'm leaving the office but it may be beneficial to check another denomination or two and see if that is the standard operating procedure, or if the dime set was compiled differently. If it was SOP, you may have to push for a specialty complete set - and you might be the only person crazy enough to attempt it

They used the COMPLETE MERCURY DIME SET with all of the crazy varieties...and all of the others series for that matter. Why they are doing this is beyond me. It makes no sense.

Messydesk - I want the Complete Set on the Registry so I can show what I have got like all the other sets.

I sure would like to see PCGS fix this mockery of the word "complete" so that DIMEMAN will participate and display all of his amazing toys in one magnificent set. My fingers are crossed. Come on PCGS, please fix this!

But they attribute all the Early Dimes by JR number, which is the set composition that should have been used to make this Complete Dime Set!!
<< <i>Why are you letting PCGS's construction of their registry dictate what you collect and how you enjoy the hobby? If you want to collect every die marriage and die state, do it without having to have a TPG's validation of the contents of your collection or becoming lithophagous. Do you have an official explanation of why the set was constructed the way it was? Is there a JRCS consultant that works with PCGS that could clarify or facilitate this? Saying "I WANTED xyz !!!!!!" is usually not the way to get it. >>
I was just gonna say.....
I'm putting some Bust coinage sets together but just each date, no particular grade, no particular DV...just the dates. It's my collection soooooo....I'll do what I damn well please.
