If the 1909-S VDB in the submission is the same as the trueview, then this is most likely not a grading submission but rather just for the photos, cuz there aint no way in he** that coin would grade red today.
They are more likely the collector sending them in to see if they would upgrade/plus. The odds of collecting all those coins raw are very slim. But it is a nice thought.

I believe for a trueview, the coin must be removed from the holder. I would think PCGS would downgrade the color designation if it warrented it and cover it under the grade guarentee if it qualified.

If you look at the cert numbers you can see they were not all in for grading/regrading or the numbers would be in sequence. More than likely in for TrueViews. Nice lot.
That was a reholder or Secure Plus submission. A normal grading submission would have sequential serial numbers.

Totally agree. That's a 65RB by todays standard. And what a beauty it is!!!

Because many people are inherently nosy. Remember the whole saga involving the former ANA Executive Director? Most people were upset not because of the outcome but because they were kept out of the gossip loop.

Personally, I only check when I have a submission pending to gauge where submissions that appear to be of my similar tier are in the process to help increase my impatience to receive my own grades. That's personally my reason!

That has nothing to do with it. Some us here actually appreciate nice coins and like to look at coins or it this case photos of coins. If the submission has truviews and they are nice coins and grades I like to look at them, no sinister, nosy conspiracy here. Are people that look at your inventory but not buy anything nosy as well?

That's an interesting 1914-S, looks nice and what a date to get in a 66BN holder!

I do it all the time! Why are you being such a wet blanket? Move on if you don't like the thread.
Hey Realone, Submitters have the option of making their submission a shared order. They also have the option of making it private so as not to invite 'nosy' people into their submission. So, they are in control of how much 'nosiness' is going on, not the curious bystanders.
Beside, maybe some people like these kinds of threads, I never would have seen all of those cool coins if not for this thread
