Believe it or not I am starting with a 1928-S Large S which is the first variety required for the Complete Variety Set.

1936 DDO FS-101 PCGS MS63FB....I do not own this one any more but the photos I took show the DDO nicely. I hope the new owner doesn't mind. I have not taken photos of my Top Pop yet....one day.

1936-S FS-110 PCGS MS65FB...was NGC MS65FB when I took the photos ( Go visit the dead horse threads for more info image )

Cool, JRocco...here is my 1937 DDO FS-101 ANACS MS63FB. It is in the Cherrypickers' Guide but it is not included in the PCGS Registry Set. Not many people have this one.

And because I do not think anyone else has one, besides Jon...here is my
    1940-S FS-901 which is a CONECA DDO-002 & DDR-001 ANACS MS66 image
Sellers Photos...I was lucky it worked out for me to be the right variety.
Oh, the coin is bright white by the way...and out of that silly ANACS holder...getting ready for a trip to PCGS.

Tony, I was hoping for broader participation as well. I know a couple of people here that have a variety or two...there is still a chance. I was surprised by JRocco's post. I thought that was way cool. You never know who might chime in with something.

I believe the 1941 DDO is going to be the toughest variety in the series. Only three graded at PCGS so far.

It would be interesting to see in hand...just can't tell much from the pics. Unfortunately, it is not a recognized variety.

I've got a 1935-S Merc (I think it was) that I dug while detecting, which sure looks like it has a RPM. But I've lost the pix of it.

Anyway, it's just a humble dug coin, nothing like the beauties here.

Would love to see a pic of it. If it is the S/S then it is a pretty rare coin even if it is not in Mint State. Tough coin to find.

    Nice coins, Tony!

If I have any of the varieties in my set, they're unattributed. The photos I have don't show enough detail, so I'll have to check them next time I go to the SDB.

Harry779 has some cool Mercs...you ever think about joining the "crazy people" to put together your own Merc Complete Variety Set. Some of us have extras that could use a good home you know. You could have at least half the set complete pretty quick if you wanted to go that direction.... image

    Tony,

This is the best pic I have of my 37-S. I'm not quite sure what to look for to determine if it's a DDO, but there appears to be some doubling to the north in IN GOD, but to the south of the R in TRUST. It doesn't make sense that it would go both ways. I don't see any doubling in the date or designer's initials. If you can tell me what to look for, I'll check the coin more closely when I get a chance.
