Nice card.
<< <i>I think it just has too many small printing defects to get a PSA 9.
Nice card. >>
+1
Those small defects are why it's such a tough card.
CDsNuts, 1/9/15
I think an 8 at best is where it belongs.

could always crack and try again

The pop report shows only 28 PSA 9's and 125 PSA 8's.
This one on EBAY looks very sharp.

All I can say is that pop report cannot be accurate. This card is just impossible to find. I think alot of those cards were cracked out and resubbed in hopes of getting a 10. I wouldn't be surprised if there were actually only about ten PSA 9's out there.
That would make since that some would crack strong 9's to go for that Pop 1 PSA 10.
A board member Mike or miconelegacy has it now.
No telling what that card would bring. SMR shows $400 but I would think that would be more like $1,500 or so.
54 Red Hearts
and now 64 Stand ups
Depending on how rare and valuable it is, I'd crack and resub it at least 2 or 3 more times before giving up on it. I say you get the 9 one of those times.
nice card, but no.

<< <i>Well the SMR price of $85 is obviously way too low. >>
The last one to sell (January 2012) sold for $405.00. That is the only one that shows up in VCP since 2008.

<< <i>Thinking of selling off my 1977 Brewers team set. Been number one on the registry for the last 5 years. I have a Yount 9 but I'm just waiting to see what this one sells for. If anyone is interested let me know via PM. >>

This may get wild in the last few hours.

Hope it does. Got my 9 ready to go!
I have a feeling this may Snipe hard and pass $600. Just a guess.

interest in this Yount card, and I managed to pick this one up on eBay
a few days ago. I don't purchase many "high grade modern" cards
these days, but this one was worth it (surprised it also went for less
than the PSA 9 discussed in this thread, despite being better centered
and free of print defects, assuming the scan is accurate). '77 Topps just
has some cool cards and, thanks to this forum, this card is on the way...

I was a little surprised it closed for less but that's how it goes sometimes. I think you will be happy with it. The 77's are just a tough set to find in high grade. I think this one was a nice example. Enjoy!
