Well, just Love coins, period.
a Peace date set in PCGS,....saw this coin and put a bid in, it said I was outbid (but I wasnt)
so I put in a high bid for giggles.......after that I realized that my first bid (which is what i wanted to pay)
was actually the high bid. so there i stood with a overbid.....after thinking about it, i didnt want to have a
"bid retraction" so i just let it be, if someone had a snipe on it, I woulda LOL'd......anyway I went out
for the evening, and later on, found out i won it with the original bid......got it for aprox 70% retail
will post grade sunday I guess...thx

I say 62 maybe 63 squeaker on the OP's coin
Nice clean coin though without any major distractions and overall nice eye appeal.

Why would a coin that clean be only a 63?
I would not call it a great strike. I'd say it's average.
Sounds like JJM got a nice coin at a decent price.
Why not build a complete set? I don't get a date set. Okay, the '34-S is a little pricey at mid-MS. No harm in compromising a little there.

Why would a coin that clean be only a 63?
From what I've seen, TPG's can be very tough on this series.
I might be wrong... And I very well may be. I'd like to see it as a 64- that would cheer me up some about Peace Dollars and grades.
It could easily be 64- I'm no expert, just a collector... It's the little field hits on the obverse that have me
thinking 63....I'm pulling for it to be a 64 though!!!
