    I could have posted a circ Walker or two from my thread, but those would bore you, and they don't actually say "50" on 'em anyway.

    So if you'll pardon a brief Darkside intrusion, I'll dip into the 1901 Victorian British Empire set.

    Howzabout 1650? image

    Here's a favorite from the Holey Coin Vest. A German States (Nuremberg) silver ducat klippe. Klippes were often holed in one corner, and that's not considered quite the bad thing it is with rounder coins, I suppose. I found the little boy on a stick horse irresistible and traded a very nice AU-ish (unholed) 1700s Spanish Colonial 2-reales piece for this.

    Oh, I have one of those, too. Dug it up. Not as pretty, of course, and the date is weakly struck, but hey. It made my whole week.

    Here's how it looked the night it came outta the ground.

    PS- yep, it IS an 1850. Dug a really nice CW-era "Eagle A" artillery button with the gilt still on it, just a few feet away.
