How about another CBH,GTG while were at it ? Grades revealed !
Lance knows the answer already....good luck ! Hmmm, well I've made a fresh attempt to image this 1825...really tough with my present skills and equipment....

I feel like I've posted this one already...but I'll make it a two fer...plus this one offers the exciting opportunity to speculate what the PCGS grade woulda/shoulda/oughta be

I love the 13 and would say she is a flat struck AU50 on nice old 13 dies.
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
J Rocco...I believe you stumped the crowd with a 1808 bust half "alot" like the 1813 awhile back, ( hint, hint )...think late die state !
Another hint (since the photos obviously are not capturing it ) Both these coins have full cartwheel luster.
I'm going to guess MS62 on the 1825 based on the lack of wear on the high points and clean fields.
As for the 1813, I'll say AU 53-55, leaning towards 55, again based on the clean fields and appropriate wear for the grade.
Both are very nice. I especially like the 1825, and hope it has the luster that I think it does.
Congrats!!
<< <i>Thanks Tom !

Well luster is hard to get in a pic sometimes. I trust that if you say the luster is all there then both these coins have only a touch of wear and would grade high AU....even without the hint
The new pics of the 25 show the coins surface much nicer than the earlier by the way and reveal only a touch of luster break on the rims, a few curls and a touch on the bust. Gotta go 58 the more I look on the 25.
Lance.
The 1813, NGC graded it AU 58....it's entirely lusterous with just the usual breaks on the curls, cap, wing etc. but struck on some of the coolest eroded and shattered dies...pretty neat to see this late die state in a higher grade !
Thanks for attempting to fix my photo Lance !
edit to add, my own opinion on the grades are right in line with drddm's...and these will both take a trip to New Jersey before long, since I'd love to know what their opinion might be as well !
