1943 Walker opinion

Recently picked up this 1943 WL. Any opinions as to grade?
Common date but I liked it's looks.
Let me know if the pictures need tweaking. First shot at it.
Still trying to find out how to add to the post.

Too big to upload to PCGS.
The photos are pretty good but the entire obverse isn't all in focus. The focus of the reverse is a bit off too.
The strike is fantastic but the hairlines and pit in the right obverse field are distracting. If the luster is fantastic I'd guess 64. If it's so-so like it appears in the photo, maybe 63.
<< <i>Great strike and appears to have excellent lustre. I'm going to call it MS63 due to so many marks in the field above In God We Trust. >>

Next, it's trying to put the obverse marks into perspective, given the size of the image provided. So like BryceM said, if the luster is excellent it has a shot at 64, otherwise I think more likely it's a 63.

<< <i>Ok, I've tried to link the picture from photobucket. I'm still searching for how.

Don't upload it. Just link it (paste it) in your message here after you've used the img button on photobucket to copy it to your clipboard.
Nice strike. I like it as a 63/64.
Lance.
I bought it raw as a 64/65. Paid $65. I look on eBay but never feel comfortable buying some coins without seeing them in hand.
May have paid more than needed but it is a pretty coin.
looks like there might be some stacking at the high point if the liberty breast and possible wear below the liberty breast.
chatter in right obverse field keeps coin out of ms-66 for sure.
probably in a ms-63 PQ range.
EDITED After seeing your comments.
yes, it is a pretty coin with a strong strike and a superior reverse which I had no negative comments about at all. I was perhaps a bit ruthless in describing the obverse.

Hey, no offense taken, it's why I asked. Comments will keep me more aware of what to look for in the future.
The reverse caught my eye. The eagles breast feathers are often very lightly struck or just plain flat. They seem to suffer the most even in mint state from stacking and album slides.
That's what I'm telling myself anyway.
I collect my Walkers in much lower circulated grades, so aside from the odd slabbed pickup now and then, I'm not as used to seeing them in this grade range.
Edit to add- 'twas that little bit of flatness on Liberty's breast and arm that threw me off, I suppose.
i found that photobucket resizing to be crap too
the beasiest no hassle image posting is by "tinypic.com"
totally free...no resizing...no using the lil image icon...it's just copy an paste directly into this box "use the 2nd line down to just copy n paste from"
I see WalkerGuy21D weighed in on it as an MS coin, and oreville, too.
That's high enough praise to sway my opinion.
If I ever see a coin that I think might be worth more than $100 I always ask myself why it doesn't live in a slab. Often there's a reason, even when I can't figure it out.
I'm still nervous in the area between slightly above melt and actual rarity. Buying for around melt value is pretty safe. Items with slight scarcity (usually >$100 or $200) are usually slabbed and there is at least some basis by which value can be determined. With many Walkers, Peace Dollars, and such, the grey zone includes slider country and its easy to make mistakes.
Best,
Eric
with that being said 1943 P's come well stuck and with good lustre with frequency. I will assume that the lustre is there. This in a 64 holder wouldn't lookout of place. Could even go 65.

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
