poor little dime hasn't had it's day in the spotlight

Recently speaking, we've had the State Quarters (+territories, + ATB), Lincoln cent varieties, as well as the changes in the nickel.
What about the dime? Why has she been left out in the cold? Hey, there's the upcoming 75th Anniv of the March of Dimes commem in 2013 . . . but wait, they are talking about a $1 coin for that. WHAT?? What a perfect opportunity to turn people onto collecting dimes, but alas, this may not happen.
Just curious as to why they've left the dime out of this. I would think, since it's the lowest denomination that actually is made for less than it's worth (read: cent costs 2.4 cents, and nickel costs 11 cents to produce), they would jump on this opportunity to fill the coffers a little.
Do we have to wait another 14 years for the 200th Anniversary of Jefferson's death?

The name is LEE!
Why, would the 200th anniversary of Jefferson's death be of interest to the dime and dime collectors?

And here I thought, "Size doesn't matter".......
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

This.
Dime collectors would certainly notice, but the general public probably wouldn't pay much attention.
<< <i>Limp on for 3 more years, then in 2016, bring back the Mercury dime! I would absolutely collect them. >>
That would be sooo freaking cool! Mercury Dime Series 1 and Mercury Dime Series 2. Wow, that might pull me into collecting "MODERNS"...but probably not...but if anything could, that might do it.
