Probly not the best venue, but what is the best way to save pics from your registry back to your hard drive? Some will save, but some will not give the save as option!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!

Thanks for the tip, tho not necessary to go to the view coin step. Just one more back button to hit. Ya gotta be quick hittin the pic or use a slower browser. Reminds of when the double bladed shaving razors came out. The whisker gets pulled out by the blade, but snaps back too fast for a second stroke, thus the use of the second blade.
Some of the photo's will only save as .bmp files which can get quite expensive. For these, I save them anyway and then resave them as .jpg files using PhotoShop Elements. I then delete the .bmp file.
I'm curious as to "which" pics the OP is wanting to save since all of the photo's in My Registry sets, I uploaded myself. The exceptions are the trueviews which the OP should have a copy of anyway. If not, they can usually be found at www.pcgs.com/Trueview/"medium-large"/12345678.jpg
Of course, PCGS is changing the Trueview file structure so the above may not work for recent Trueview photos.
But as an example, if you cut and paste this address - www.pcgs.com/Trueview/medium/14116111.jpg - into your URL bar, then the Medium sized Trueview image of the coin will be displayed. Change medium to large - www.pcgs.com/Trueview/large/14116111.jpg - and the Large version shows up.
Eliminate the large or medium directory - www.pcgs.com/Trueview/14116111.jpg - and the small version pops up.

I have a lot coins in the my inventory that aren't part of registry sets. I am also trying to get pix from an old computer over to a newer one. Also having issues with imageshack. The used to have a way to organize them into nice little groups but over time it seems to have grown into a fricking mess. I'm going to be looking for and setting up a different hosting service. Also I was over their limit for a free account and I need to thin them out before they do it for me. For some it is hard to match up the correct reverse and obverse. Imageshack doesn't seem to be as user friendly as it used to be.

Photo manipulation and categorization is a major pain in the but!
Good Luck!

<< <i>If that doesn't work, there is always the Print Screen option and paste into your favorite photo software >>
That's what I was gonna suggest, if you hit any obstacles. Hit the "prt scr/sysrq" key, open up Paint or your other photo software, hit Ctrl+V or "paste" to drop the screenshot into the photo program, crop as necessary, then save.

Fortunately, I didn't have to resort to that.
