I have always thought foreign(my lightside) was a bit out of focus on TT. Not that I mind though, I have bought foreign gold several times at 50-75% of spot.

I've been looking more at foreign gold lately as well. Was at a shop the other day and he had quite a good selection of various world gold priced at BV + 50-60%.

My investor side has a tough time buying gold priced like that. It's not really bullion, and if/when the spot price of gold goes up, those premiums will shrink. But then again if gold drops, the premium will stay the same/even increase.

I suppose in either case the world gold would out preform most other coins I buy image Though you have to wonder at what price dealers will buy them back at. Probably right around spot image

It's a good move on their part if it is a concerted effort.

Hopefully soon they will allow bidders outside of the US as well.

once they expand out of us and Canada I can see Teletrade becoming a very big competitor for heritage.

This sunday is the new Emperor collection up for bid should be some very interesting and high grade coins.

I can get raw gold at just over spot, but there are some better earlier date slabs that dealers want WAY too much money for. I will have to look into TT! -Dan

Probably I'm missing something, but IMO it pretty much looks the same as it has for years as far as world coins are concerned.

I agree and the reserves are so high that the vast majority of the coins don't even sell. Just look at the prices realized page the next day and you'll see all the coins that didn't sell.

The reserves might be a little higher but I just recently talked to heritage and they raised there buyers premium to 25% across the board. at that percentage i feel like they are steeling my money!!

    finally got an answer

    25% for art, jewelry,etc

    15% on u.s. & world (except 2 particular auctions) then its 18% i think

Please show me where it says that. I see 15% on their current auctions.

Heritage also has so much business now that their auctions run into the wee hours of the night and make it really tough if you are trying to bid live
and the consignors whose inventory shows up at that time must surley take somewhat of a beating. To much of the market share may not be a good thing in this instance
    for buyers and consigners.
