That's not the slab insert. it's an airtight.
The slab shows damage along the outer rim. These NGC pop open fairly easy without too much damage.

I've handed coins over to dealers who have thriving businesses and have been doing it for 20+ years. And they palmed it. I'm talking UNC coins.

Yes they do. (The 2nd one has some surface scratches because I used a razor blade to remove the green bean for reuse on a reholder.)

On an unrelated note, I noticed the seller is from a town next to my hometown, a fairly small town in "Gold Country", northern California.

It's virtually flawless, Perry. It went back on a '26-S Lincoln (cert# 03936624).
Not to rehash this (it came up a couple of months ago), but removing and reapplying a green bean can be done in less than a minute with a sharp razor and a little care. Use the razor to lift the edge and pull it up and off with your fingers. It doesn't wrinkle, tear, split, delaminate, etc.

I am sure he will super glue the slab back together before shipping!!
