This is a FEEDBACK scam by the seller. Ebay gives 50 listings free each month. This guy is looking to gain feedabck for free. The listings say local pick-up only, but, one of his feedbacks says, "Fast Shipping and Fast feedback Thank You very much" Right now he has 18 of these "positive feedback" listings active. Currently half of his feedbacks have come from his scam. Once he has built up enough feedback, he will move on to bigger ebay scams.
Other than the cc mint 'location' which I am sure is just a default mistake... what ebay policy is he violating? Just curious, since it has been described as a scam. Yes, it is just geared to getting (and giving) positive feedback; does that make it a scam?
So, if you bid $0.01 and you win, you pay him by PayPal and he is out $0.34 due to the fee. Heck, for $10.00, i would do it 1,000 time just to make him pay $340.00

Yes. It is against ebay policy to solicit feedback: Here is his violation: ebay feedback violation

I don't have the ebay rule book at my desk but for starters how about the fact the listing says its graded by ANACS and it's from the Carson City mint? Then later in the description it states that they will choose the date of the coin when the coin pictured is a 1990-D....
PayPal charges a flat fee (I think 35 cents) plus a percentage. He would owe money on each transaction.
As for the rules unless there is a problem with the body of the auction - not the pre-fill section that is eBay generated he will probably skate under the radar. eBay has bigger fish to fry - and being able to sell a ounce of gold and getting the funds released immediately is not a function of your feedback but of the dollar value of the items sold.
Yes on the ANACS and CC default problem. I used to search the auction by ANACS and I would find maybe 1000 or so and look thru them for the earlier slabs but in the last week of so it seems that all coins on ebay was now ANACS listed, if you did not change certification and now I would get 10,000 or so to look thru. So I don't do that any more. I was hoping that eBay would get their coin template straiten out by now, But either they don't know or care. Not sure which it is. Now to the penny sale, what are they thinking?? I think it is a case of buying feedback. Bob
You people are missing the point. The problem is not that it is listed as CC or ANACS which are just there because he was too lazy to change the default. The problem is that he is violating the eBay policy that it is prohibited to solicit (buy or sell) feedback. This is essentially just and auction to trade positive feedback and build up your rating. This is how scammers want to make it look like they have a good reputation before listing a huge scam. You can see here when you go to report this item, under Listing Practices --> Feedback Soliciation --> Offering to Buy or Sell Feedback.
If they didn't prohibit this everyone would have 10,000 positive feedback by now and the rating system would be useless.

I used to search ANACS for certificates. I called Ebay and complained that I have to weed through 1000ds of auctions now that have nothing to do with ANACS and I managed to get some ESL'r from India who was completely useless. He reminded me of "Peggy".

The last one sold in a major coin auction for $7300. IF you promise me that this is the exact coin, Ill be glad to meet you and pay you a reasonable sum of $3500 for it, cash"

<< <i>ill start by reporting it. the carson city mint, you gotta be kidding......... >>
You can clearly see it is a 1990-D, which you can find in change, by the way. I don't know how they sell stuff like that!?!?
there are TONS of coins listed as CC that are not.
