no pluses used for silver eagles, gold eagles, and modern commems. They come very nice, mostly 68, 69 & 70. Pluses don't really make sense and we don't use 69+ on any coins because 69 is soooooooo close to 70.

On coins with no 70s or very few 70s, 69+ would make sense. NO? For example. I've looked at thousands of PR69 IKEs and some look plussable. --Jerry

Thanks, but what about later mint set silver coins submitted under the modern tier? I was under the impression these were not eligible for the plus.
I thought it was that Modern coins that are submitted under the regular service level can get plus grades but if submitted under Modern or Economy tier service they will not. In other words you had to pony up for the plus grades.
This may have been changed so I would suggest 1-800-447-8848 for a knowledgeable answer.

Perhaps none of those 34 deserved the plus, but you'd think out of that many coins on the line of 68/69 there'd be a few 68+

I kid you not, I literally get at least one plus on every submission. I don't know what's going on.
