  Not a HTT. I have the other one and it could be its twin.

  The second one looks British, like a 1770 George III halfpenny (but the design does not match the 1770 version).
  (Could have been used in the US, but I don't think it was made here - I could be wrong, though).

  The key design element to match was the round outline under Britannia, rather than the flat outline in the 1770 and other versions.

  It looks very similar to a Conn., Mass., NY or Vermont colonial to me, hoping a expert could chime in.

  Nope not a US Colonial as it's just as yosclimber mentioned British penny worn smooth.
  
  No HTT either as the other looks like some sore of game counter.

  Upper piece looks like a spielmark while the lower looks British.

  Worn coin is a British penny or halfpenny depending on the size, from 1806-1807.
