  I would like to know how there can only be 3 double dies of a penny. If the doubling is on the die then wouldn't there be many of them? I think those get cranked out so fast I don't know how quality control could catch them that efficiently. Or are there a bunch out in circulation still?

  Gold and silver are valuable but wisdom is priceless.

  That's what I read. That there were only three. does anyone know if there are different varities of doubling? I will post a pitcure later to see if I have one.

  Only 3 are know as no one was never really hunting for them until recently. Also a strong possibility exist that the DDR was identified very early on and the dies were pulled and scrapped, so far less made it out of the mint. Just speculation but that is the theory behind the 69-S DDO.

  I am hoping to have the doubled die reverse. I can see doubling on the word One and the lettering in the word Cent. Also in the word United States. I hope to have a pitcure up in about an hour or so.
