This is my new Bust Dime the last one I purchase was a VG in 2008. I really liked it and wanted to post it.

Yes, XF40. I saw it on Ebay the other day. Looked original and under priced so I could not resist. Maybe second to quarters I will pick some up now and then and do a set.

    It's not a 1827 JR-14 is it? Don't tell me I can wait.

I saw the dime and loved it too. I was really surprised that it went so long without any offers on it.

    Nice coinimage

Thanks Derek and Kaz. So I know there are 14 varieties of the 1827 Dime, anyone have a clue which variety this one is?

Do a google search for "Russ Logan Collection" and check out his collection to attribute the coin yourself image

(I'm too lazy to do it myself, but I have a good idea which die marriage it is image

    Wow! What a great pickup!

I need to feel more confident buying raw coins!

Trust me Jeff, no confidence needed on that pickup. It was already in the PCGS holder and someone spent the money to CAC it before I ever bought it. High grade coins do take some confidence In purchasing raw, you are right about that. I have only done a few XF or higher and have lost before, Just make sure a return policy on a rare coin is available.

HUH? If you saw one for either price, I suggest you buy it! I believe this one was more than 4 "C" notes.
