MS62 looks about right...albeit it could be wear on the cheek?

I would guess but that would be cheating. Great looking coin!

The cheek has the look of rub but I am going to guess that is a photo imperfection. Color is outstanding . . . originality is superb . . . I am going with MS63 as I don't think that cheek area is rub. It'd be too obvious.

If PCGS and CAC told you that there was no rub, would you believe them?

My first thought before seeing the grade was 65. Does a sticker add any value to + graded coin? The + already denotes that the coin is in the top 20% for that grade and therefore solid for the grade.

Relicsncoins, I'm wondering whether the green bean in this case means that CAC agrees with the + or if it just means that they agree with the 64. In one case it would mean that they think the coin is high end (64.8-ish) and in the other it would mean that they agree it's solid for the grade (64.5-ish). It's a distinction that I don't think has been discussed before regarding CAC's review of + coins.....or has it?

Either way it's just one of those geeky things we collectors get to ponder. image

It's a good question. I thought I read on these boards, that CAC does not consider the + when awarding the sticker, but I don't know for sure.

I like it! And, I could count the number of barber coins that I really like on less than 1 hand...but I like this one!

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
