1876-CC Trade: is it fake?

Saw this coin on eBay. The CC mint marks look too small, too widely spaced, and positioned too close to the D in DOLLAR.
Can any experts please comment?

    I agree with TDN, that is a cool Rev that was used in 73, 74 and 76 and all of them are the same die and all very to pretty rare. That one looks to have UNC details but a little polished.

    The funky look to the appearance raises alarms to me. Glad the experts chimed in.
    It's too bad that a high grade, better variety CC trade dollar got 'buffed' though image

    It is a shame as the 76cc is the rarest Trade Dollar in uncirculated condition
