Attention Collectors Corner dealers

Someone has placed a fraudulent order with us via Collectors Corner. This is the first time someone has tried that (with us) through a third party website.

Fortunately, they didn't accomplish anything. They are using a stolen credit card number to try and buy coins, which we confirmed with American Express.

Not to be a stick in the mud, but is there not some sort of maybe unspoken rule here about posting addresses and or complete phone numbers?

I know important information is being relayed here, but libelous remarks with out some sort of proof may perhaps be a no-no...just saying.

Thanks for the heads up NEN. This is happening alot recently, and as bad as it is (could be) I have a bad feeling these types of frauds will only get worse over time. It is always good to point these things out before someone else gets scammed by the same people.

Once American Express confirms someone is trying to use stolen credit cards to attempt to buy stuff, I think that rule goes out the window. I also thought that the whole "outing" injunction was related to deals gone bad, rather than warning about use of stolen credit cards.

It's libel only after it has been proven to be libel.

I have been getting all kinds of calls in the store people wanting to order gold with CC, and on line order requests. I figure most are scams, especially the ones that wan tto know if we can ship express.

I too sold Wanda Ward a gold coin on Collectors Corner and Wanda is trying to get her money back from AM EX (the first two credit cards she gave me declined).
I will fight this until I win! Thank you for sharing with us all. I hope others will read this and learn.

Agree but whitepages.com shows this as a Land Line.

However, 503 IS an Oregon Area Code for Salem and a typo could have occured.

Besides, what what bearing does an invalid phone number have to do with an online order?

I got an order from this Bozo too. Collectors Corner sent me a warning about them. Then I got the same order from an address next door the this person. They are on the do-not-send list.
