Don't see these fake often

Not sure I have seen these faked. Came in with an old circ set missing the keys. The color didn't show up well but is closer to original mint red.

    .
is it a fake as in trying to pass it off as the real thing

    OR

is it a normal copy without the word "copy" stamped into it?

i've read that the people that make the copies with copy will also sell some without copy stamped into the items and get sold to people on request

    It is a counterfeit coin.
It does not have the word "COPY" on it.
If it did, it would be a counterfeit coin marked with the word "COPY," but it would still be a counterfeit coin.
    Just say no to counterfeits.

I agree its a recent Chinese fake.

The coin looks good enough (assuming the color is indeed more red as you say) and isn't important enough, that I might not notice if just browsing through somebody's album.
