    I don't think I've shared this one before. 1826 O.115

I've always enjoyed it because the toning gives the impression of some kind of transient being hanging out in front of Liberty's profile. Or is it just me who sees it...? Maybe I should've waited until Halloween to post this one!

These are part of my two and a half rolls - yes, rolls - of 1832 Quarters I accumulated.
You can ask Liz Coggan - Rich Urich and Kathleen Duncan about these coins.

These are the best of the bunch. The rest are VF 20 - thru AU 58's.

Mike, no wonder I can't find a nice 1832 at a reasonable price, you're hoarding them all and the prices have shot up!
But seriously, I don't know why you wanted a whole roll of 1832's (or I believe this was the date), but if a lot of them
looked like the one's you posted then I'm not complaining image

BTW - this thread will soon turn into a Mega Bust Coin thread, similar to your Barber thread. But I will only edit the
title at the beginning of the new year image

    Thanks zap.
To use a quote from Edgar Souders book "Bust Half Fever" :
"The 1824/21 O-101 is scarce in the lower circulated grades on up to EF-40. EF45 and AU examples are very scarce and above this rare.
The 1824/21 O-102 is rare IN ANY GRADE !
The 1824/21 O-102 is in a class of its own and RARE in any grade from AG3 up ! In all of numismatics I doubt there are fifty to sixty of these existent-attributed or otherwise. On the O-102 reverse there is a die dot in the field between the scroll and the Eagles head."

  • How can you tell the difference between a dime and a half dollar?? They don't have the denomination on the back like the quarter does. Would like to know what you are posting. Thanks I'm talking about the draped bust that is.

image The Dime has "10C." at the bottom of the reverse while the Half has "50C." in the same spot.

Aside from this, a Half is a MUCH larger coin than a Dime!

OOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, well ya got to be WAYYYYY more specific!!!

Generally it is just by experience by the observer knowing how to spot a Half-Dollar or Dime reverse
