When exactly was the 1960 ANA Convention?

MrEurekaMrEureka Posts: 24,419 ✭✭✭✭✭
The dates would be helpful. And if you have the schedule of events, please let me know.

BTW, I already know that the convention was held in 1960, thank you very much! image

Hmmmmmm - what are you up to now??

Looking through David Sklow's upcoming numismatic literature auction, I see there's an "official photo" of the 1960 ANA dinner party. On a long shot, I was hoping that the dinner took place on the day of my birth, which was in late August 1960. Unfortunately, it's "close but no cigar". It would have been a really cool thing for the office wall, especially because I later became friends with some of the people in the photo.

    Anyway, thanks for looking, Tom!

You know, on second thought, maybe I'll bid anyway...

  • I like a single item in that upcoming auction (a medal), but the estimate is far too high for my budget, even if I managed to win at 60% of it to make the sale, plus fee and postage.

My birthday is also late August. You realize, of course, that our respective parents were celebrating Thanksgiving!!!

  • Mr. Eureka - I'll tell you what did happen in August of 1960. DC Comics issued the 1st edition of Green Lantern. I was 11 years old and still have my copy. It hasn't aged well. I won't post a picture of it since it's OT.
