How many here offer a discount price on your coins sold on your site as opposed to ebay?

And does ebay frown on sellers commenting that the seller offers that same coin from their site at a discount from the ebay BIN?

Put it on ebay and overnight got an offer to buy it off ebay. The audience you get for a buy it now listing which costs 60 cents is amazing.

<< <i>The 1798 Dollar I had on my site for a few weeks, and offered it on the BST as well as major dealers. Had a few nibbles, but nothing close to my asking price.

I like the idea of exposure on ebay but somehow get the transaction done off ebay to save on fees such as offering a 5% discount if bought from your site.

<< <i>Thanks for the responses. I assume the best route is to mention your site can be found in a search engine but have your site match your ebay name or do they not like that either? >>
I've seen many listings where they say "Check our website for more" without actually giving a link or a name. I suppose in most cases, it can be figured out from the user name or other information in the listing. I assume that's probably against the rules but probably flies under the radar most of the time. They would rather you have an eBay store and direct people there.
I also see user names like "bestcoins.com" (just making that one up) that are obviously a signal to check an outside website. I'm sure there's probably a rule against stuff like that as well, but its definitely being done.

Yes, but I have lots of previous buyers who contact me dirctly.
If your ebay listing has a website or an email address in it, it will be blocked. New listings with either in it will give you an error message. You can still put your phone number in it which I do. I think buyers, even if they have no need to call me, like to be able to get ahold of the seller. --Jerry

I have a statement in my auctions that "contact information can always be found on my website by the same name." So far no problems. --Jerry
Does that count?
When I conduct such a transaction I pass the ebay fees and paypal fees (if paying by other means) on to the buyer. Shipment of coin upon receipt of payment. Good transaction sometimes brings a returning, cash paying customer.
