Coinfacts question...

Is there a way to load a smaller version of the coin photos? You click on a thumbnail and it takes about 3 minutes for the image to load and it takes up about 3 pages.

Not that I know of. Of course you select "Show All Images" and simply copy those to your clipboard but not too much detail shows up.
Personally, I don't mind the wait.

you are stuck with either the thumbnail or the large image since those are the only 2 available
BUT
you can change the size of the browser window in FF and IE
hold ctrl + scroll mouse
or
hold ctrl + (+) & (-) keys
or
drag the thumbnail to your desktop and use the image viewer to enlarge, ie windows photo gallery. I just enlarged a thumbnail from coinfacts and it gets a little pixelated but not
too bad if you don't desire to wait for the large image download.
or
there are many other ways/creative solutions
IF
you are wanting an image larger than the thumbnail but smaller than the large image, what exactly are you attempting to do?
