Their print costs also went up. They sent an email and flyer to subscribers offering to let them lock in at the old price.

I buy the full pack about once a year. I like having the sheet, but I think recent auction prices are a more realistic guide to what I will need to pay, or can expect to sell a coin for....

    .
i download the full packet in pdf format and just pay whatever they charge, i don't see things like this as an expense but an investment that yields returns multiple times over

send that file to a local print shop and at the top it specifies that the copy is supposed to be only for me

    go pick up my copy

this way i have them on all my computers and in person

usually get around 5-6 full sets each year give or take and have all my copies going back to jan 2009 including all the auction catalogs for auctions i've attended and many i haven't
    .
if i keep this up my home will never be put out if a fire were to start, too much fuel

I agree ... and I also put them on my phone, iPod, iPad, etc.

Brought my iPad to the last show I went to, instead of a printed list or a computer.
Worked out well. This kind of setup takes a little while to get used to.

I'm a dealer that just does coin shows. A couple years ago I bought a netbook for all my Graysheets. I also bought the standard coin catalog, the standard world currency catalogs, The Standard US paper money catalog, The obsolete bank notes DVDs, and any other electronic coin book I thought would be useful. It has really been awesome, especially when I see the other dealers hauling around all the world coin catalogs. The small screen on the netbook has been less than ideal for looking up coins, so I ordered a new laptop with a 15.6 inch display, and UPS is scheduled to deliver it tomorrow!

Don't say the word fire or flood around a book collector...I've had one fire and 3 "flood" incident in the last 10 years, one flood (broken pipe in an upstairs bathroom) missed $20k worth of books by a foot.

other than the weight you are going to love it, the 15'+ screen is superb for any attribution work, but sometimes can draw a little too much attention

i am itching to try one of the new ipads due to the size and weight reduction, just haven't pulled the trigger since the tech specs still fall a bit short for me

i have thousands of images, dozens of books, catalogs, internet access and much more at my disposal, heavy but far less than carrying all the individual items.

you may find it useful to get a SANDISK flash drive16GB or larger since they are so inexpensive, just order from the USA please

thanks for reminding me about this,
I used to get the print, but as mentioned, really is a waste for me.
but once in a while I can splurge
