i thought to myself,
i said self, lets see the exact definition by ebay of what type of numismatics are permissible for their auctions
official guidelines
now i know this isn't the ebay support forum BUT
it does tie to numismatics and our national law(s) that state replicas aer being legally allowed by our country, and it pi#*#$^ me off, still
what happens and it isn't rocket science is that people are going to push the envelope and maybe a few mistakes get made and copy/replica isn't on the item
and what tipped the scales for me initiating my decision to post is the following:
*Not allowed: Reproduction or replica versions of any Canadian currency*
w-t-f
we are supposedly viewed as a world super-power and yet we permit the undermining of our freaking currency?
there must be a logical reason, mussent there?

As I am unsure of what you were trying to list, I shall speculate that it was a replica of a Canadian coin based on the Ebay reply.
I recall not too long ago there was a very large scale RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police, think of it as the Canadian FBI) investigation of fakes and replicas of Canadian coins being sold on Ebay. From what I recall, they essentially said ANY and ALL replicas (stamped replica/copy, or not) were illegal to sell or list on Ebay. Ebay has complied and has been very vigilant about pulling offending listings.
i do not sell replicas/copies
may have had 1-2 from the colonial period but that is it
i am simply irked that if our neighbors to the north can get something this simple done, so should we
all that needs to happen is legislative changes, some simple ones
