    Speed up the process
    Details grades
Brief explanation of problem coded coins (where, what)
    one more little quirk;
On the shared orders page, rename the service for vouchered submissions to something other than "Free"

    OK, deep breadth.

    1. Stop charging for coins already in PCGS holders that were graded with numbers that do not meet current registry requirements. YOU changed the numbers, not US.
    2. As said before, simplify the submission form.
    3. Top five registry sets get privileges as in you get a say in coins being added, deleted, varieties, Etc.
    4. Bring back privileges once offered and taken away like: Free gradings for as many sets that reach 95% complete and not just 5 free per year. Free pedigree set designation when a set is in the top 5 and 95% complete.
    5. All sets listed, are open, no closed sets.
    6. Give credit to coins photographed for coin facts, cert verification, etc. We do not pay for the coin being photographed and then you use it as you please. And if the coin gets sold, its credit stays with original picture.
    7. Get rid of the Satin coins in BS sets. Satins can be either stand alone or in with proofs.
    8. Same with SMS coins and by all means, get rid of the 64 SMS coins in BS sets and move them to Proofs.
    9. Tell us why some coins are NOT getting graded beyond MS 65 like with the 2010 BS shield Lincoln's.
    10.Reserved for future thought.

I manage my own business and would love feedback like this.

Sure, I couldn't accommodate it all. Yes, some ideas are impossible/impractical. But this is priceless feedback.

I hope someone from PCGS is listening.

    << <i>

<< <i>I believe if PCGS cracks it and finds something they didn't expect, they don't cross it. You get the coin and the holder back. A lot of coins cross after cracking and resubmitting raw so if I was willing to accept a grade lower, I think I'd resubmit raw and still hope for the same grade; provided either grade justified the monetary expense. >>

That's not my understanding. You're saying PCGS returns a raw coin and a broken holder?

If they crack it that means they intend to cross it at the minimum grade, or better, cited on the submission form. If, after cracking, they find something that really prevents the cross I would think there ought to be some compensation.

Anyone know with certainty what happens?

I'm pretty sure if they crack it and find unexpected issues that you get the raw coin and a broken holder back and no compensation.

I would bring back the economy mint error service and/or make membership vouchers which are able to be used for mint errors.

If you send a coin for crossover at a minimum grade and they crack it out you get the minimum grade. If a problem is found that is so severe after cracking it out that they could not grade it at the minimum grade you would get a call and a settlement offer.

PCGS does not crack out a coin and then say OOOPS,,,, we are sorry about your tough luck. You don't get to be #1 operating like that.

    From PCGS's FAQ page:

Q: How do I submit a coin that was graded by another company?
A: The "Crossover" service is for coins previously graded by another grading service. Submit the coins in the holder and PCGS will grade the coins and put them in a PCGS holder only if the PCGS grade meets or exceeds the other grading company's grade. If the PCGS grade is lower than the other grading company's grade (unless a lower minimum grade is specified in the minimum grade column) we will return the coin to you in the original holder. Note: The minimum grade cannot be higher than the current grade on the holder. You will be charged the full grading fee even if your coin does not cross.

I would make the search function easier to understand and use. I can't find any of my old threads or reponses to threads.

Under the word NAVIGATION, click on search. Enter your board name ajman where it says author and choose which forum/fora you want to search. Easy as pie.

If you are referring to the ubiquitous "The page you were accessing requires variables to be passed to it. Error Code: 100" then you are probably doing nothing wrong except using a modern browser. Try another browser or an older version.

Regarding providing details for an unsuccessful crossover.

I attempted to cross a coin last month for a friend, the coin was in an ANACS graded holder. When the results posted, it showed up as Genuine (91 - Questionable Color) I was worried that they had cracked it out and stuck it in a genuine holder, but it was returned in the ANACS holder. I guess my point is that there was a reason provided for why the coin wasn't crossed.
