Would you grade this bust half?

Here is a bust half that I have that Im considering getting graded. What would the experts suggest?

It's hard to tell from the pics. Unless there is a scarce attribution, I would put it in my Dansco album.

Hard to tell from the pics, looks like it might be an XF. I personally would send it in if I thought it would grade XF or above. PCGS Bust halves are very marketable in the XF-AU range.

Yes. Not a URL link. There's an IMG link on photobucket you will see after you have uploaded you pic. You click on it, which "copies" it to your PC's clipboard. Then you "paste" it into your message here. Twice, once for each side of the coin.

Special thanks to Lance for having patience and working with us newbies. heres my two bust halfs that Im considering getting graded. What would you guys recommend I do?

The lighting might show off hairlines and a glossiness that makes the coins look cleaned...that may or may not be the case. But if you think they've been wiped, sending them in for grading would be throwing good money at bad for sure...
If not cleaned, then I'd say they both look like VF/XF sliders.
I'd probably just leave these as is, save the $$ and buy coins that are already slabbed. Unless you've got some rare varieties here, these dates are quite affordable and abundant
in PCGS plastic.

What is causing what looks like a blakesly effect on that 1833?

Obv @ 11:00 and 5:00
Rev @ 1:00 and 7:00

BTW, I agree, don't send in for grading, keep them free. Get an album or put them in 2x2s.

33 stands a chance.
32 does not.

That said, I agree with others and can't see a reason to slab them (outside of them being some rare overton variety).

All of the above IMO, of course.

The 1832 looks EF Details, cleaned. The 1833 appears to be much more original -- I would grade the
1833 EF-40. Not sure what caused the weak areas on the 1833, but they look pre-strike.

By the way, pretty nice job with the images, especially for someone new to taking coin pictures.
Whoever walked you through this was a great help.

1832 - cleaned EF-45

1833 - VF-35 (nice coin, but too much obv wear for EF)

Neither need to be sent in for grading as both are authentic and the grade really is not an issue.

First coin looks cleaned and XF.
Second coin looks high-VF and OK.

Since both are common dates in common grades, I wouldn't invest the grading and postage cost in either one.

I like the 33. I'm sorry about the 32. I don't think it will grade cleanly.

I have my best CBH's graded. But I keep many of the VF ones raw because grading them isn't smart money. Funny...I enjoy the raw ones more often.

No. I would keep it raw. A coin like that will sell without a holder for a better bottom line.
