While I am very happy with my grade which were all one grade lower than I thought except one which was higher I am most excited at the fact that all 4 came back in the new PCGS prong holders which are a first for me. I love the holders and put PCGS back into my favorite physical type of holder status. Well done PCGS on the simple redesign.
My Grades for those who care
1874s Bought raw off ebay = XF40
1875p regrade= XF45 1st Reverse
1876p bought Raw off ebay = PF58

But what series are we talking about here?

If you know crypto it`s Trade $`s

Trade dollars of course but my main point was the all pronged holders that came back.
PCGS Registries
Box of 20
SeaEagleCoins: 11/14/54-4/5/12. Miss you Larry!
Question, did you have to request the new prong holder, or are they doing this for all newly holdered coins? I'm about to receive my first, an indian quarter eagle I picked up on BST, which is a great coin to put in a pronged holder.
<< <i>A proof 58 - wow - well done! Was it cherry pick? >>
I hoped for the pronged holder but didn't request or mention them
Old thread on the Ebay Auction score for the 1876 Proof, note the mixed and matched Obv traits
<< <i>Great job John, that 1876 is awesome......beautiful!!!!!
<< <i>Did they mark any attribution for the 76 PF on the holder, since it's a special combination of types? I'm guessing no, since we can't even get obv/rev types for regular strikes. >>
I begged PCGS to mark the 76p as a special OBV but they declined and it's not true PCGS just started attributing Hub type a year ago or so and I just got my first one slabbed and it happens to be one of the 2 R7 keys. Esp now they are doing the proged holders I will submit my set to be labeled once they fix the complete Trade $ Registry set .
There are many errors in it
1- No 1875s type 2 Obv
2- No 1876p type 2 Obv, 2nd Rev
3- There is no such thing as a1878-s DDR FS-802, The CPG just use a picture of a different part of the FS-801 coin
Also the weights are a little off IMO
You have a great eye for coins!!!

Sweet, didn't know that! I'm betting you may ask for a re-grade on your 78-CC when you re-submit. My info was a little outdated, I was just reading an old thread where you, among others were pining for attribution of the obv/rev types. Great to hear that they're doing that now, since the different types are so obvious and there are very few to keep track of. Hopefully the pop reports will become fairly accurate over time. Lots of pop 1 coins for you, at least at first. ;-)

Ok, that's why I haven't been able to find any evidence of the 78-s FS-802. I've studied what to look for with every other variety as I familiarize myself with this set, but I could never find an example of this one. Makes more sense now.

Thats a Nice pickup for sure.
