Post 'em if you've got 'em. (Anyone know what the final mintage's are/were?)

That's what I'm afraid of. Too many forum and newsletter comments about their low mintage status the last several days up 'til Fri. I had hoped everyone would just keep quiet about them. No such luck!

No doubt hundreds of additional orders were placed with the mint once they went to backorder and folks like me started chatting about them on the forums. However that doesn't mean that all those orders will be filled. No one knows for certain yet, but I bet a lot of people are going to receive Dear John notices from the mint at some point in the coming weeks. If they actually have the inventory on hand that's another story, but if they're inventory numbers were accurate and they actually ran out 10 days ahead of time than all the people who placed late orders will probably be out of luck as I just don't see the mint running another batch of a few hundred coins. Of course, no one understands the way the mint works so who knows what they'll do
For the life of me I just don't understand why so many people took their chances with the mint once they were on back order when they could have purchased them raw from Apmex for nearly the same price. Maybe the mint comes through for those folks, but I didn't take any chances. I filled my orders on eBay/Apmex the day they went to back order two weeks ago.
The MOH sales ran around 200 in front of army sales right til the end.
MOH went back order at appox 8,000.
Regardless of last minute orders I expect final mintages for army and MOH to be similar and around 8,000.

<< <i>Falling spot prices may have caused some order cancellations from the panic crowd. >>
We'll get a good number tomorrow around 7pm EST, though, like you mentioned, it won't reflect last week's cancellations.
MOH $ gold is 8251
Good Coins!
Unc's per Eric J on his monster thread. I tossed in an order for a MOH unc a few days before they darkened for kicks...still on bo.
<< <i>I didn't think there was any such animal as a "first strike" since there is no way telling when the Mint strikes a coin. >>
My thoughts exactly, but both PCGS and NGC have made a money making deal with collectors who want this designation.
<< <i>My MOH, backordered to 12/30 just shipped. FYI. >>
Wow I hope my two ship as well. I picked up some PCGS 69's off of ebay too but I think these are a winner.

<< <i>yepper, looks like their expected date of shipment of 12/27 has been moved up. I'm now in stock and reserved. >>
Yuppers. In stock and reserved here too.

The flag label on these two coins kind of adds a special touch.

I wonder if that would be available in the online digital version as well.
