From Toneddollars:
<< <i>I plan on keeping mine, and I'm going with NT, . This coin resides in a PCGS holder and was purchased from a collector who had been buying toned coins since the 70's. Andy Kimmel, a very loooonnng time dealer of toned coins has quite an interesting story about this coin. The province of which shows it has been around many, many years.
>>
A quote from David Hall concerning Toneddollars 1922 toned Peace Dollar.
<< <i>I believe the reverse toning on "Toned Dollars" 1922 is probably natural. It sure looks good to me.
Like I said...I may be wrong...but...
I can tell you that most of the ones I see look AT to me.

If it didn't have the dirty "fish scale" type skin on it, that you also see with the old cardboad mint sets, I would be inclined to say it was helped.
Too many positive BST transactions with too many members to list.

That's quite a bit of a different statement than the unequivocal one often quoted (and the subject of the thread yesterday) -- and it sounds much more reasonable to me.
Thanks for posting this Robec & Happy Holidays to you and yours.

I think that color is good too, and that one's a real beauty.

<< <i>I have a question for the doubters. if someone is going to AT a Peace dollar, why would they do the reverse ? Think about it.
According to one theory these doctors are SUPER DUPER PATIENT GUYS and not greedy at all. lol. Selling one every few years appears to be enough of a score for them hahaha.
