Bust Half for the Dansco Type Set

I had no idea how hard it is to get some of these
hand struck coins into the Dansco album. Its in the
album, but I'm afraid to leave it in there.

I picked the date because of its historical connotations.

    I had to dig at the edges of the hole in order to fit my bust half,
    also an older one, also 1812.

    I've had the same problem with my bust dime, it was gonna make the page come apart eventually, so I just took it out and put it in a capsule for now.
    Positive BST transactions:michaeldixon,nibanny,
    type2,CCHunter.

    I too bought an 1812 to put in my album and it wouldn't fit either! Subbed an 1827 for it instead.

    Years ago, before I started with TPG coins, I put all my Bust Half Dollars into Capital holders. Most all of the earlier years were so large that I needed to ream out the hole. Capital makes such a tool. Many of the later date coins were so small I needed to put pieces of flips in to keep the coin from flopping around in the holder. There is a very noticeable difference in diameter between early date CBHs and later date ones.
    I collect Capped Bust series by variety in PCGS AU/MS grades.
