A few years ago I couldn't find one locally with about ten coin shops in my area.
I finally got it from Wizard supply as a present for a YN.

Then recently i found one for myself on the BST.

There is a separately available page for type gold (10 pieces---no T. II $1 or $3) that you might want to try to get as well.

They are usually a bunch of 7070's on E Bay. I just did a search and didn't find a single one.
    Glad I already have mine!

Wow, wonder if they did quit making them. Seems odd there aren't any on ebay.

I seem to recall someone saying there was a rumor that 7070 albums are no longer produced.
But I don't think it was ever verified.

    Just slightly OT...

I recently got into Canadian and Newfoundland silver minors. I decided I liked the retro look
of the old tri-fold Whitman folders for the NF issues. It took me 3 months of looking to locate
the entire 9074-9078 series. Almost as much fun as collecting coins, eh?

If you think the album is hard to find, wait until you try and locate the Classic Head cent image
Seriously though, I guess its a good sign the supply of albums has dried up, as hopefull there will be a resurgence in demand for the coins! Good luck in your endeavor.

I haven't seen it confirmed that these aren't being made anymore.
These folks Wizard coin supply have a space in their inventory, but this organization brent-krueger doesn't seem to show it.

our shop sells a lot of dansco albums weekly . somewheres around april
or may , we ordered more from a supplier . after repeated tries , and many
negative feedbacks , it appeared that dansco was either not making any
more , or possibly revamping the album to accomodate new issues . we
never received an explanation from the company or supplier .

I am using the Whitman Blue Bookshelf which were popular 40 years ago- I still like them but my favorite remains the Library of Coins series

Try finding one of the old blue Whitman bookshelf albums. I managed to put together almost a complete set of the US books over a couple of years on ebay. Some of the ones for foreign coins (NF and Britain being two that stood out) were rarely offered and sold for strong money when they did appear.

Does this mean my fist generation 7070 is going to carry a premium now?!?

Well I took a long shot and drove to my local small coin shop. I was totally surprised that the shop owner went in the back
room and came out with his last Dansco US Type 7070 album!!! I couldnt seem to find one on the net and the sites that said they had
one in stock when called ended up not having it.

I want to give a shout out to all you little guys out there who run those small tiny local coin shops.

Let the filling of the album begin!

    Happy Holidays !!

That's funny you should mention that, I have 3 Dansco 7070 albums, and they are different in subtle ways. Specifically the page that has the bi-centennial coins/modern commem and SAE. The first 7070 doesn't have that page, the second one has only 3 holes (one for each of the bi-centennial coins) and the third has all the modern stuff (bi-centennial, SAE, Sac, modern commem dollar and a few other coins).

I'm interested to see what other changes may come in the next generation.
