Fake coins/slabs on the Registry?

With what seems to be an ever increasing number of posts regarding fake coins and/or slabs, what are the chances that some of these coins or slabs are making it into Registry Sets? If they are, what can PCGS do about policing the listed sets?
What we've got here is failure to communicate.....

But I would presume that PCGS is thinking along your same lines and in their Board meetings, etc. are quietly planning strategies to combat the fake slabs, prosecute the offenders, and maintain the business model that we have become accustomed to. The resources and experience there are formidable. I would presume the only problem PCGS may possibly have is a potential of sheer volume of individuals, and being overwhelmed with prosecutorial distractions, but I don't really see that circumstance happening.
Although we can't predict the future, remember what led us down the road of 2-piece slabs, Doilies, etc. One lone guy in CA who decided to counterfeit Rattlers in 1989 prompted the response from PCGS to increase security in their holders through several iterations and prosecute him . . . and I bet it'll still happen today.
Look for continued changes from PCGS. I don't think they will take any of this 'lying down'.

One (farfetched) way would be to clear all the sets and start over, and require that anyone wishing to add coins to a set send them back to PCGS for physical verification. PCGS would then add the coin(s). I certainly don't see that happening.
