Good point on anonymity of ebay. I fight this by trying to put all my contact info in my auctions. Ebay won't let me link my website or include my email address any more. I still have my phone number but they don't really like that. I so include a business card and all my contact info with every purchase. Still, I think ebay buyers would be better served by more availability of contact info before the purchase so they can see which sellers are upfront. --Jerry

Any future plans in the works with PCGS to try and stop this problem? Or at least make it harder for the counterfeiting of their slabs?....Anything...Anyone??
  • unless I am seeing things the coinnumber.grade is seperated by a comma or a , instead of .

perhaps because only one coin on ebay in 1,000,000 plus is fake, less than those sold on other venues without ovesight?

edit to add: and perhaps because on ebay you can get your money back, unlike most places off ebay. >>

That's funny, one in a million! There's probably a dozen fake 16-D dimes on ebay right now.

  • Did I miss the "sellers" name on ebay ? If not put it in here so people will know who to stay away from !!

  • Report it to the local police. Have them write up a report and take the coin as evidence. Send a copy of the police report to ebay and paypal. You will get a refund and the coin will not go to someone else.
