    No.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

That's interesting. If someone places an order to get their coins graded and their main reason is just to get the coins graded and protect them from being damaged, and they miss the fact that one or more is a double die. They would have to realize that fact on their own without being notified?

    Yes.

This is really what makes variety collecting exciting since doubled dies come in all shapes and types. Some are simply "in your face" while others require some serious scrutiny.

As a collector, it's my responsibility to know what I have. PCGS's business has always been coin grading, not coin attribution.

Some coins have an incredible amount of doubled dies. For example, the 1964 Kennedy Half Dollar has 38 different DDO's and 24 different DDR's. Since attribution is different than grading, attribution is only addressed when the submitter pays for the service AND PCGS only attributes specific varieties.

While I'd like PCGS to be different, I also understand that keeping track of the thousands of different doubled die coins which exists across all different series and denominations is a formidable task which is addressed by different variety services and not grading services.

Actually that was one of the main reason for my question. with all of the different types of doubling on certian coins...unless a person stay focused on one type of coin and knows all the different types of doubling there's bound to be some double dies on some coins that are overlooked by the submitter.
