Eisenshower Dollar error - about how much is this thing worth?

halfcentman · December 8, 2011 12:59AM

It was graded MS65 by NGC as an obverse and reverse struck thru.

I need to offer it to a friend, and I want to be fair for the two of us.

You can post to the message or PM me.

Thanks,

Greg

I would guess $50 +/-.

Interesting looking strike through but I wouldn't think it was worth more than $12 to $18.

I'm also in the $50+-$10 camp depending on in hand eye appeal. Those close ups don't say 65 to me but then I'd be more into the error with the grade a plus.

If you can get $50+, take it. The error does not stand out enough to draw further attention.

I was more in line with the $35 to $40 way of thinking. I would not hesitate to buy it at $28.

I think the coin is an MS65. The picture is big, and it can make any coin look like garbage for the most part.

I think $50 is fair. Thanks for your views.

Yikes. Sorry to not have a non-favorable opinion, but overgraded by at least a point. I personally wouldn't put much extra on it for that particular strike through, but errors are all unique and perhaps it appeals to others.
