1990 Denver Souvenir Mint Set

Where can I find the mintage figures for the mint souvenir sets. I am interested in the 1990 Denver figures and value. I have not been able to find any 1990 sets on Ebay. I am interested in the ones the mint sold only at their gift stores. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

There are no official mintage figures for any of these.

The following are guesses based on scanty information. Those marked with * are unofficial from various sources.

    1971- (probably O)
    D (probably 0)
    1972-(400*)
    D (400*)
    1973- (2000)
    D (3000)
    1974 (5000)
    D (6000)
    1975-(3000)
    D (4000)
    1976-(4000)
    D (4000)
    1977 (10,000)
    D (10000)
    1978 (10000)
    D (10000)
    1979- (8000)
    D (10000)
    1980 (8000)
    D (10000)
    1981 (10000)
    D (6000)
    1982- (10000*)
    D (15000*)
    1983- (15000*)
    D (20,000)
    1984- (10000)
    D (10000)
    1985 (8000)
    D (10000)
    1986- (6000)
    D (8000)
    1987- (120000)
    D (120000)
    1988- (10000)
    D (10000)
    1989- 8000)
    D (8000)
    1990- (6000)
    D (8000)
    1991- (6000)
    D (6000)
    1992 (8000)
    D (8000)

These were made through 1998 at both mints but I have no guess on mintages except they likely decreased. Numbers
are based on the frequency with which they are seen and scaled on the unofficial total for the '72 and '82/'83 issues as
well as some deduction and interpolation based on geography. The sets were apparently made in batches of a thousand
to a few thousand each. Coins are regular quality but are choice specimens from regular mint runs. There are no varieties
in any of these dates. There are reports that later dates contain burnished and PL coins but I've only seen a very few and
    none of those do.

The sets were suspended in 1999 because of the difficulty of including states coins and that the numismatic department al-
ready had its hands full with the states program. There was talk of bringing them back in '97 or '98 but it didn't happen.

All these sets are interesting and have had very high attrition. The '76 sets contain special medals to commemmorate the
bicentennial of the US and centennial of Colorado.

I found this and don't know where they got there information on the souvenir mint sets but thought I would pass it along. This was in "Collector's Journal" Volume 100, Issue 2. Here is the link.

    Thanks for this.

They are interesting numbers. My sample size for the post '83 sets is fairly low so I could
probably be off by this much but those Denver numbers still feel high to me. I've seen the
stats for visits and they weren't so lopsided.

Do you know the origin of these numbers and, more importantly, do you have more?

Is this a publication of the Scott Coin Company?

Here is the link to the article where I found the information I posted. I should have done this with my other post. I'm learning. And, here is the link to Collectors Alliance.
