Beautiful proof Franklin. Hard to grade when not in hand but appears to me as a 67CAM. Good luck on the incredible piece!

Wow... very nice. Can you get some additional pics from different angles and lighting to show the cameo contrast more clearly?

Not sure what your looking for but here is a "moon" shot from about 16 inches and a close up from about 4 inches with a regular desk lamp about 1 1/2 feet to my left.....

Very Nice...I'd say 64 or 65 CAM based upon the hairlines evident on the obverse fields in the last obverse photo. I think you have a solid CAM, but don't think it'd make DCAM.

This is a tough year to find with deep mirrors. I currently have this one at PCGS awaiting grades any day now.

PCGS has previously denied me a CAM designation on these two, both were graded PR64:

Looks DCAM to me... 67 I think (but I don't know Franklins).

    Pretty coin!
    When in doubt, don't.

That one won't grade worth a Dman Eric. Just send it to me and I'll just take it off your hands.

Send me the rest of those sealed sets as well. No point in suffering future disappointments. image

I'd go 66 CAM. Looks highly cammy. Nice coin ... and it's cool you plucked it out of a sealed set. That's a nice surprise! image

Wow. I'd love to have found that coin. Very nice and should make CAM at least.

Very nice looking coin. Congrats on the pickup. It looks like the coin was struck from repolished dies. It also looks fantastic, particularly the mirrored fields. Hard to believe that the fields are that black and watery after being sealed in the old cello for 58 years. Was there any haze on the coin when you first freed it from the cello? If so, did you remove it?

As far as the grade goes, hard to say since there may or may not be hairlines. It appears to be a coin that would warrant a CAM designation since the fields have great mirrors and the devices look suitably frosted. If there are no hairlines then it should get a 67 grade. If there are any hairlines the grade could go down to a 64 or even a 63.

Did you pay a premium for the sealed set? Further was it a single set or were there multiple sets? If so, hope you picked up the extra sets also since other similar halves may be contained in them.

Thanks for the additional photos. I like to see multiple shots because some can suggest stronger cameo effects than other. All you photos show similar cameo. Looks like the real deal. Good luck on submitting... hoping you get the DCAM designation. My guess, DCAM 66.

I would have opened that one in a environmental safe vent hood with plastic tongs and put directly into a flip.

Course, when it gets graded, it will be slid out of the flip and examined, so no harm done.

I hope you get PF-67 with some sort of Cameo notation...Good luck, she's a beaut!

Gorgeous coin! These can come quite satiny, too, so it is nice to see one with deep mirrors and contrast.

That is one incredible Frankie! I would DCAM it myself, but then again I don't work for PCGS. I hope that it gets the grade it deserves!

64CAM, perhaps 64DCAM. Nearly impossible to tell the difference between a 64 and 67 in a typical photo. Since one of the photos did catch a few obverse hairlines, but none caught a lot, I'm saying 64.

Hold something printed about 6 inches away from it and if you can read it clearly you have yourself a DCAM !

I'd say 66 DCAM from photos
