A nice Sunday drive, get a cup of coffee, and you have now scoped out the best parking spot! A successful mission!

I admit to showing up on the wrong day for a coin show. The time I did that was about three months agoimage

The sad part is that this is a monthly show, third Sunday of every month. Guess I can't count. image

    Don't feel too bad.

I once drove forty or fifty miles to go on a metal detector outing.

Arrived at the site and started to gear up. Had most of my stuff in a knapsack.

    Digging tool? Check.

Carpenter apron to put trash in? Check.

More secure pouch to put found goodies in? Check.

    Gloves? Check.

    Bottle of water? Check.

    Insect repellent? Check.

    Spare set of batteries? Check.

So I opened the trunk of the car to get out the detector.

    What detector?

    image

It was at home, in the closet.

    I've done that twice.

    Haha, good one LordM!

Shroomster, I hope it was beautiful weather and you enjoyed the drive and fall colors!

2K, it was only a 15 minute drive down I-90 so no fall colors to see.

I showed up a week early for school one semester at SciArch, the architecture school I went to. They changed the start day during the summer and a few people didn't get notified. This was before email was in use by most.

    Played golf for week instead.

That's not bad, Don. At least you remembered how to get home. image
