2011 anniversary set, info for orders only after 4:30 pm on 10/27

The purpose of this post is to give posters who have orders on the waiting list a better idea if their order will get filled or not. If anyone has an order after 4:30 pm eastern (the official US MInt order time given to you on your order status page) please post if you are showing "in stock and reserved" or if your credit card has been charged. If so, please post your official order time.

Also if you have and order before 7:00 pm and after 4:30 pm on the 27th and you've received a cancellation notice please post the official time of your order.

The time on the email confirming the order is 4:16, but I live in central time zone and I'm pretty sure that is central time which puts it at 5:16 mint time. Tracking still shows backordered but I haven't gotten the canceled order email from the mint yet. Still crossing my fingers but I don't have much hope.

Did you get an email notice yesterday that your order was either cancelled or you are on the waiting list? If not, then in all liklihood you are in line to get this or these. My brother has an order at 5:32 pm and he didn't receive a cancellation email or waiting list email yesterday like many posters stated in this forum for orders they placed a few hours or more after the 4:30 waiting listing that went into effect. I talked to the Mint this morning and if you didn't get an email yesterday for a cancellation or waiting list notice then you are most likely in line to get these.

It appears that orders to at least 6:00 pm may have made the 100,000 cut off and the real waiting list started after 6:00 or around there. THe reason I say this is because there now seems to be a consensus amongst 3 or 4 posters who have orders in the 5:00 to 6:00 pm time frame who never receveived the emails that went out early yesterday stating that you are either on a wait list or your order has been cancelled. It would seem that if you are on the wait list you would have at least received the wait list email, so not receiving this wait list email is obviously a good thing and once again the fact that no one prior to 6:00 pm has gotten this email bodes well for us.

I received my confirmation at 6:03 PM and my 2 sets are still showing "in process" with an expected ship date of 11/24. I have not received a wait list email or cancellation.

Order #38381XXX, placed at 5:20pm. Still shows 'in process', and 'backordered'...ship date changed, yet again, to 11/24. No 'Dear NotSure' letter from the mint, YET, so I'm still holding hope against hope I don't get that email. I am leaning (teetering, actualy, and very unsteadily at that) towards the 'maybe my late order WILL get filled' side, seeing how so many have gotten their 'Dear John' letters already, so...we shall see.

now that I said it out loud, I'll wind up getting that damn letter sometime today....

My order placed at 2:06pm EST hasn't changed to shipped yet. I am hoping sometime today. Will keep you posted.

It looks like 6:15 is the earliest time so far where an order has been cancelled, I thought 8:00 pm was going to be the cutoff based on a few posters who claimed to talk to supervisors the day after the 27th. In addition, it seems like no one has gone from "in process' to "in stock and reserved" for an order after 4:30 pm yet.

Ditto...I have a 4:35 order, still backlisted...no e-mail.

And a co-worker has a 6:00 and an 8:00. He got the waitlist e-mail for the later one, but not the earlier one.

So I think anything 6:00 and earlier is probably in good shape.

Two orders, one at 4:57, the other at 6:03. No emails regarding either order. According to a mint official, orders for 100,709 sets had been received as of 5pm. If this is correct, and a relatively small percentage of orders were canceled, orders before 5:30 should have a decent chance of being filled. Both of my orders are in process and backordered.

This is my thought (hope) also. Orders prior to 6:00 pm ET have a good chance.

Orders prior to 5:30 pm ET have a great chance!

I received the email stating that my order will not be fullfilled, yet on the Mint website it still says it's in process and expected to ship on 11/24/11. So I don't think the Mint's online status really means anything.

Well no waitlist or cancellation email this morning for my brother's 5:32 pm order so hopefully for him and many others on this board no email means you made the 100,000 cutoff and right now it is just preceding orders that are still getting filled which explains the "in process" status that many are still seeing. After reading many posts it appears that no one received a waiting list email for an order before 6:00 pm. If the Mint felt that there was any chance of 6:00 pm or prior orders not being filled they would in all liklihood send them the "waiting list" notice like they did for orders in the 6:00 to 7:00 range.

My order was placed @ 4:21 ET. Over the phone after 30-40 busy signals I got in LOL, but today I went to the US Mint site and seen the dates moved back again for shipping on my order, here is what it has been looking like since I check every day on my order status. ........2011 25TH Anniversary American Silver Eagle 5 Coin SET (A25) At first the mint said on there site the shipping date was 11/14/2011 , I looked again, a day or 2 later and then shipping date was 11/21/2011, So I go and take a look today and now the delivery date was pushed back again to 11/25/2011 Also they did not even charge my CC yet either ? Hell I just hope to get them before 2012 gets here, LOL P.S. if anyone else is getting the same pushed back dates, when they log in, please let me know, I hope am not the only one !! I'm starting to think this thesis has some merit. About 4:00pm est seems to be the cutoff for in stock/resrvd orders. Perhaps the real waitlist starts here and like someone else said, the actual "sellout" notice didn't make it to the mint's site until about 30 mins. later.

The last time I called for some update information on my order the operator there told me my order came in at 4:21ET pm, and that they stopped taking order that day @ 4;30pm !! My Luck was with me that day, LMAO !!!

sounds like they said lets ship all orders till 4pm and we'll see how it pans out after that, with cancels, mis-orders and over the limits

Just as a point of reference, my set ordered at 2:06pm EST just shipped today. I have another order placed at 3:41pm EST that still hasn't shipped. It showed as "In stock and reserved". Hope there will be good news for all who have orders after 4:30pm. I will update again when my other order ships. Have a great Friday!!

I'll jump in even though I didn't want to post , but at this point I'm so tired of checking the mint site all day and not getting anything! So yes my order placed at 5:47 est is still on backorder -in process -and a ship date of 11/25/11 I'll still hold out hope , got nothing to lose thanks to all the posters for the updates hope my info also helps out.
