Need to find a coin for a YN

My friend's son is getting into coin collecting. He goes through junk boxes at coin shows with his dad and picks out coins with animals on them. I want to get the kid a big coin with an animal on it. I'm thinking crown size. Coin has to be CuNi and NOT real expensive. Any suggestions?

Maybe there is an Isle of Man Crown that would work

Ireland, man. You can get a whole set.

Or just a halfcrown with the horsie on it. There are CuNi examples. I had a silver one I'd have sold at melt, but... well... I sold it.

Thank you IloiloKano. I'll try it next time. Don .. I'd suggest Belgian Congo, Lithuania, or Botswana. Lithuania made some really pretty coins before the War and the African countries have large mammals that beat others, hands down. Email me Don .. check out Bosnia. they issued a series of "Preserve Planet Earth" coins from 1993-1998. a good variety of animals to choose from. they also issued a series of "suverenas" with various horses on them, during the same time from. most of these can be found for around $12-20, if that is inexpensive enough for you.
