BST deal: Should I "out" this member? (You make the call.)

Bought almost 2 grand worth of 90% RIGHT BEFORE it headed south. (Oh well. Win some, lose some.)
Package arrives and it's short by almost half!

Member answers my PM immediately... ships the balance the next day... throws in a few cool extras... and apologizes for the mistake.

I'd be upset, but would give him the benefit of the doubt given the response.

'course, I finish last along with the other nice guy.

No. But I did ask him if he'd like any financial planning advice from this "extremely savvy investor!"

I wouldn't "out him" as he made you whole and then some. Honest mistake?

However, you did have your chance to ask him just to refund you for the half that didn't ship. you never know, he made have just refunded the $$.

I think her post is giving the seller kudos for making things right and for giving her a bonus to make up for his mistake.

YES! (Thanks, PerryHall.) I was just trying to offer a humorous "counter-balance" to the other thread. There's no drama here. Just a happy tale about a stand-up guy...

That happened to me once also. I was the sender(seller). Somehow I miscounted on some 90%. But I did the same as the seller in the OP. Immediately made up for the difference and a few extra.

BTW--I was not the seller in the OP. Whew!!

It happens, its now square plus. No need to out other than to build his rep and info up for others. That happens a lot in my other hobbies bst. I payed it forward to a noob once by just unloading lots of good use equipment on him for pennies. Word got out now I sell whatever I put up at my price.

Well, I must say that would be great. It seems all you see if "fry the guy" threads then things don't go right the first time and that is what I was thinking. It would be refreshing!

Based on one of the above posts, the OP is making light of the recent spat of drama threads and in fact is happy with the transaction and seller. I do however agree that we're seeing a lot of negative posts in general.
